Terms of Service

Welcome to TaskAdoodles. These terms govern your use of the TaskAdoodles iOS app, the TaskAdoodles Android app, and the website at taskadoodles.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. Who can use TaskAdoodles

• You must be at least 18 years old to create a parent account.
• Children's accounts must be created by their parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for that account.
• If you sign up on behalf of a family, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
• One person, one parent account. Don't share login details.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password and your child's PIN safe. If you suspect someone has gained access, change your password immediately and contact us. We're not liable for losses caused by stolen credentials you didn't tell us about.

3. Acceptable use

Don't use TaskAdoodles to:

• Do anything illegal, abusive, or that puts a child at risk
• Upload content that's offensive, harmful, sexual, or that doesn't belong to you
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate the service
• Sell, resell, or redistribute access to the service
• Try to break or interfere with our infrastructure

We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules. Where appropriate we'll let you know first; sometimes we won't be able to.

4. User content

You keep ownership of everything you and your children upload — photos, names, task descriptions, anything else. By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to store and display it inside your family's account so the app can do its job. We don't claim ownership and we don't use your content for anything else.

Photo proof of completed tasks is deleted when a parent approves the task. Approved task history is kept until you delete it or close the account.

5. Subscriptions and payment

Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are sold and managed through the Apple App Store on iOS or Google Play on Android; payment, renewal, refunds, and cancellation are governed by Apple's or Google's standard subscription terms respectively. We never see your card details.

• Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal.
• On iOS, cancel anytime through your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. On Android, cancel through the Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
• Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
• If you have a billing query, contact Apple or Google support as appropriate — we cannot issue refunds for App Store or Play Store purchases.

6. Service availability

We work hard to keep TaskAdoodles running, but we don't guarantee 100% uptime. Maintenance windows, internet outages, or third-party failures can interrupt the service. We'll give reasonable notice of planned downtime where we can.

The app is provided "as is" during the beta period. Things may change, features may be adjusted, and bugs may exist. We appreciate your patience and feedback.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, TaskAdoodles is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited under English law.

8. Changes to the service or these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. If the changes are significant, we'll notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after the changes go live means you accept the new terms.

9. Termination

You can delete your account anytime from Settings → Account → Delete Account. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or that have been inactive for a long time. After deletion, your data is removed within 30 days, except where we're required to keep it for legal reasons.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of England and Wales, unless local consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your own country.
