Delete your account

You can permanently delete your TaskAdoodles account, your children's accounts, and all data linked to your family at any time. There are two ways to do it.
Option 1 — In the app (fastest)
- Open TaskAdoodles on your phone or tablet.
- Sign in to your parent account. (Only parents can delete the family account; children cannot delete on a parent's behalf.)
- Go to the Profile tab → Settings.
- Scroll to the Account section and tap Delete Account.
- Re-enter your password to confirm. The deletion runs immediately and cannot be undone.
If you share a family with a co-parent: deleting your own account transfers your children to the co-parent and removes only you. To wipe the entire family, the co-parent must also delete their account, or you must remove them first.
Option 2 — By email
If you no longer have the app installed, email us at info@taskadoodles.com with the subject line "Account deletion request".
Include the email address you used to register so we can locate the account. We'll process the deletion within 30 days and reply to confirm. If you don't hear back within 7 days, please email again — your message may have been caught by a spam filter.
What gets deleted
- Your parent account: name, email, password, profile photo
- All children you created on this family: their names, PINs, photos, points balance, XP, level, achievements
- All tasks, rewards, and task history
- All task-completion photos uploaded by your family
- All leaderboard entries and challenge participation
- Push notification tokens linked to your devices
- Crash logs containing your account ID
- Any pending friend or duel invitations
What we keep, and why
- Anonymised aggregate stats (e.g. total tasks completed across the whole app) that contain no information about you or your family.
- Records we are legally required to retain, such as payment receipts if you've paid for a subscription. These are retained for the period required by tax and consumer-protection law (typically 6 years in the UK), then deleted automatically.
- Backups may briefly contain a copy of your data after deletion. Backups roll off within 30 days and are not used for any purpose other than disaster recovery.
Timing
In-app deletions take effect immediately. Email deletions are processed within 30 days. Backups containing residual data are purged within a further 30 days.
Children's accounts
If you only want to remove a single child from your family — not your whole account — you can do that without deleting everything. In the app: open the Home tab, find the child in Your Children, swipe left on their row and tap the delete button. Confirm to remove them. The child's data is deleted on the same schedule as a full-account deletion.
