How to approve or reject a completed task
Nothing pays out until you approve it. Reviewing takes a couple of seconds, and there are two ways to do it.
The quick way
Open the Tasks tab and look at the Pending Approval section at the top. Each row has a ✓ and a ✗ button.
Tapping ✓ or ✗ in the list approves or rejects on the spot — without showing you the photo and without asking for a reason. It's built for tasks you can already see are done. If you want to check the photo, tap the row itself instead.
The full review
- Tap the body of the row (not the ✓/✗) to open the review screen.
- You'll see the photos side by side, labelled Before and After where you set a before photo. Tap any photo to view it full screen.
- Read their note if they left one.
- Tap Approve or Reject.
You'll also see a Pending Approvals card on your Home tab that jumps straight here.
Rejecting well
Rejecting asks Why are you rejecting this? The reason is optional, but it's the difference between a kid fixing the job and a kid feeling told off. There are one-tap options for the common ones:
- Photo was blurry
- Doesn't look done
- Try again properly
Or type your own. Your child sees the reason on the quest with a Try again button, and can resubmit without you recreating anything.
If your co-parent got there first you'll see Another parent already handled this one. Nothing is double-counted — the first decision stands.
Nudging
Each task row has a small hand icon — tap it to send your child a nudge notification about that specific task. Better than shouting up the stairs.
